Perry Hardwoods, Inc.,  brings you the opportunity to buy less than truckload quantities of lightly steamed European Beech Lumber graded to the North American rules of standard inspection.

We are based in North Carolina and can arrange to deliver, or you can collect the lumber promptly at our yard at Liberty, North Carolina.
The European Steamed Beech that we offer comes from Germany where all the forests have been managed according to sustainable forestry practices in place for hundreds of years. Beech trees in Germany are harvested for lumber after approximately 80-180 years.

European Beech trees are felled only in winter and then sawn to lumber. The fresh sawn lumber is dead packed and steamed within forty-eight hours of milling. After steaming, the lumber is placed on sticks and allowed to slowly air-dry before kilning. After being carefully kiln-dried, fully equalized and conditioned, the lumber is parallel edged and graded to the North American rules of standard inspection prior to export to us in the USA.

We obtain our beech only from a select number of sawmills. Over the years we have spent considerable time working with the mills developing sound relationships with them and their production crews who understand our requirements. With this connection, we are absolutely sure you will find this lumber to be beautifully manufactured and on grade.

Our supply of European Beech is consistent, reliable and available right now!
It is a versatile lumber, similar in characteristics to hard maple.

European Beech machines well, stains well, is resilient and can be used in a variety of indoor applications such as; moldings, kitchen cabinetry, flooring, stair components, furniture, cutting boards, salt and pepper mils, turnings and toys just to name just a few.

We believe that Lightly Steamed Beech has a very pleasant natural color. However, it can be stained to represent other species such as cherry, mahogany and walnut. It can be lightly stained to another color allowing the grain to show through for a modern contemporary design effect.
